Bacalhau de pós-Natal

Para nossa família, o 25 é pós-Natal, dia de as crianças pegarem os presentes na árvore e dos adultos terem um sono terrível de quem dormiu tarde e madrugou.
Ressaca, mas ressaca de emoções, de excesso de coisas ditas e não ditas, pensadas e não pensadas, das vividas e não vividas, das saudades disfarçadas, do cansaço, da preguiça, da família, dos amigos, da vontade de ficar dormindo até muito tarde, de tomar só sucos e refrescos, de se enfiar num casulo sem pensar em felicidade ou tristezas.
Ouvir lá fora um barulho que vem de longe, de crianças aprendendo a andar no primeiro velocípede, ralando o joelho, a bicicleta anil, as bonecas gêmeas, Janete e Isabel.
Uma família de Natais felizes, caprichados, boa comida, convidados engraçados, aquele livro ganho uma vez, “Anna Karenina”, e foram dois dias de se mudar para outro mundo, viver com ela, morrer com ela, numa exaustão.
Uma visão de muitos perfumes, sabonetes, meias, camisas, panos de prato com a borda de crochê, ou aquelas toalhinhas de banheiro bordadas e escovas de cabelo, e blusas de verão, uma caixa de marrons, uns cadernos de folhas com pauta, um lápis de grafite escuro, uma caneta de ponta grossa, momentos de pensar num futuro feliz. Nada como um bom caderno, bonito, e canetas e lápis que escrevam nele com força delicada, deixando as marcas novas.
O dia de Natal é um dia bom. Bom para não fazer nada, para pensar devagar, para comer os famosos restos do peru. A sopa feita com os ossos. Não aqui no Brasil, com o calorão, mesmo que caia uma chuvinha própria do dia seguinte ao Natal.
Sempre uma vontade enorme de ter sido agraciado com uma fé adulta e forte que soubesse conversar com Deus e com Maria, e agora com o Menino, cara a cara, como adultos, não com aquela vozinha de criança moldada pelas freiras que provavelmente também conversavam com Ele como noivas meninas.
No meio de todas as filosofadas, vai se desenvolvendo miúdo, a princípio, um interesse pela geladeira, quase impensável horas atrás. Gula? Nem pensar, é o dia de Natal, saímos dele reforçados pelo contato com toda a família, avós, filhos e netos e perdidos na noite escura.
O bacalhau? Hum… É, realmente o que melhor aguenta o dia seguinte é o bacalhau que se aprofunda, cria complexidades, as batatas se entendem melhor com o peixe, se fundem com ele, o azeite lubrifica tudo, o tomate vai perdendo a acidez, o colágeno se desgruda e fecha os nossos lábios. Mas, frio, assim? Bacalhau é um prato que se come frio como a vingança?
Não, não é. É um inocente resto natalino, esperando no fundo da panela, com seu coscorão de pão queimado. É simplesmente a melhor comida do Natal, traz junto até os tataravós portugueses, os bigodes, os poetas, os boêmios.
Sozinhos, ali, diante da posta fria, podemos pensar na paz entre os homens, na igualdade entre os homens, ali, na hora quietíssima do bacalhau frio, sem testemunhas, sem livros, sem patins, sem bicicletas, sem bolas coloridas e renas e muita neve.
Nada como bacalhau frio para enfrentar a realidade pequena e dar força ao futuro.

    Well I can’t say I know exactly what you’re going through, but I understand to a point. I understand the waiting part, it sucks so much. But that’s all we can do.     uau! que texto lindo esse Nina. E o bacalhau? A Consoada, na minha família de vó portuguesa. Chamava-se Consoada e era cozido (o bacalhau) com cebolas, batatas e rolinhos de couve. Era comido às seis da tarde do dia 24, numa espécie de antecipacao de todas as delícias do Natal. Obrigada pelas memórias despertadas. Abraco

    Não compro, nem como, bacalhau : dá dó : não está em extinção assim como o palmito ? a economia política crescendo, certas comidas tornam-se proibidas já que aceleram a destruição da Vida. Quanto a sagrada família nesta época tiveram que fugir, perseguidos que foram a vida toda : N. Sra. do Desterro.
