Escolher é difícil demais

Acho a maioria dos supermercados chatérrima, nunca consegui tirar um prazer cotidiano neles –mea-culpa, a não ser o Santa Luzia, que, já expliquei, foi o único terroir que tive na infância. Mas escutar conversa dos outros, adoro, comentando o que vão ou não comprar.

Parei junto a um casal jovem que escolhia entre um curry mais caro e um mais barato. Seria o mais caro melhor? Ou não? Só diferença de preço? E se fossem diferentes, qual o grau de diferença? Valeria a pena gastar o rico dinheirinho deles numa coisa que nem se percebesse?

Fiquei ali junto, fazendo cara de intrigada com a mercadoria à minha frente, disfarçando passivelmente, achei.

Subitamente, um deles se virou para mim e, me chamando pelo nome, perguntou qual dos dois curries eu levaria.

Senti-me como o Obama flagrado pela presidente, balbuciei e, que papel de anta você faz quando sabe muito sobre uma coisa. Não há respostas definitivas, cortantes e resolvidas em nenhum setor daqueles estudados por você a vida inteira. Tudo é mais ou menos, para ensopados prefiro aquele curry tailandês em pasta, ao mesmo tempo é tão fácil de fazer em casa, por que não bater tal coisa com tal coisa, vai ficar mais fresquinho e diferente, ou não compraria nenhum dos dois, ou compraria os dois e misturaria com coentro fresco na hora, que pratos vão fazer, ah, comprem essa canela e triturem com assa-fétida, onde encontrar, huum.

Louca, louca de pedra, eles só querem saber se esse ou aquele vidro, pare de balbuciar incoerências.

Bom, essa dúvida atroz e esse “depende” dependurado na cabeça como espada me fizeram ir a um programa de rádio e atrapalhar tudo e todos. O pensamento no rádio é puro silêncio (aliás, pensamento é sempre puro silêncio, não só no rádio), e nunca haviam tido um convidado mudo, foi um terror. Não sei qual mercado do Norte ou Nordeste é melhor. Querem saber? Não acho nenhum bom, mas seria politicamente correto responder isso? Dava tempo de responder o que eu achava? Não dá. O que você acha do Neymar no Barcelona? Como não sei nada do Neymar, a resposta “tem um jogo lindo de se ver” vem como raio.

Não me peçam para escolher, escolher é difícil demais. Sei que é para ter uma resposta pronta, mas nunca tenho, achei todos os mercados extremamente pobres, sujos, tristes, com esplendores como peixes, ou ervas, ou palhas douradas, mas no geral, bem, eu diria… É melhor não explicar que achou todos muito pobres, sujos, vejamos o lado bom, o lado poético, as partes positivas, aquele monte de banana, corredores de bananas, a mulher debulhando a ervilha, o pó pra curar males de alma, ah, meu Brasil brasileiro, que pena, que dor.

Mas não pode, tem que falar dos jambus, dos filhotes, do feijão-manteiguinha, do camarão seco, bacuri, cupuaçu, maniçoba, ai, Deus, tão pouco brasileira, respondendo na ponta da língua sobre o escritor mais desconhecido do Brasil, um sobrenome de trava-línguas, Jay McInerney, por exemplo, isso você sabe, não é, sua tonta? E para nomear nossa fauna e flora, um fracasso falante ou mudo. Aí tem coisa, problemão.

    If you’re still on the fence: grab your favorite earphones, head down to a Best Buy and ask to plug them into a Zune then an iPod and see which one sounds better to you, and which interface makes you smile more. Then you’ll know which is right for you.

    Apple now has Rhapsody as an app, which is a great start, but it is currently hampered by the inability to store locally on your iPod, and has a dismal 64kbps bit rate. If this changes, then it will somewhat negate this advantage for the Zune, but the 10 songs per month will still be a big plus in Zune Pass’ favor.

    Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.
